MSC has sponsored a summer workshop for children since 2011. Typically held in July, this free one-afternoon event has been extremely popular. All materials are provided by MSC. Library staff and MSC members assist the children, and parents are welcome to stay through the workshop. Space is limited and spots fill up within hours.
If you are interested in your child attending, watch for kids’ activities on the library’s website and reserve online (search under Events at Madeira Library: chpl.org/locations/MA/).
History
Our own Marjorie R started this with a Halloween-themed workshop at Hobby Lobby in 2011. From 2012 on, it has been held at the Madeira Branch of The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Marjorie continued to organize it for over 10 years and has now passed the baton to other MSC members.
